The current welcome email (​https://diswww.mit.edu/menelaus/asa-db/2734) says:

Welcome to the asa-official@mit.edu mailing list!

To post to this list, send your email to:

  asa-official@mit.edu

[...]

Much of the email is wrong, since people can't post and shouldn't unsubscribe. We should disable the email to make it less stupid.

We can't change the text (we can add to it, but we can't remove stuff that's there already), so disabling it seems like the way to go. That's done.

Also, disabled setting the List-Post header while I was in the admin UI.
